Are you special for not being 'special?'

I was sitting at one side of the cafeteria when the bell rang. It was recess time for the upper secondary school students. For 20 minutes the cafeteria was in havoc. Pupils were screaming everywhere. There were plates of food being thrown. Most of them were not queuing to buy food. They were more like pushing and ‘himpit’ing. (Haih. Mengeluh. Ini pelajar2 yang berusia 16 tahun ke atas kah?) There were also some teachers (mostly females) struggling and trying to book their ‘lauk-pauk’ because they were afraid the dishes will finish soon.

After the 20 minutes the bell rang again. It was a sudden peace in the area. I continued my work there. I concentrated until I heard some noise which were the noise of people chattering. These were the pupils from special education classes. I began to observe. They were queuing to buy food. Eating their meals properly and quietly. Some of them were even helping each other out to buy food. They gave way to some of their friends who were really ‘special’.

Then I said quietly to myself. When will we began to learn from these special children?

Sigh!

Terima kasih untuk tulisan ini.:)

kita takkan pernah reti belajar kerana kita tidak 'istimewa'.

reverie, bukan dudak-budak sekolah saja. orang-orang tua juga. cuba pergi tengok waktu makan pada kursus-kursus haji. berebut-rebut.

haih (jugak).

buat benludin:
thanks.Yes, it should. =)

buat Wann:
No effence taken. As long as the message get across. I'm in the process of learning myself. =)

buat Water Lily:
Saya mempunyai rakan2 yang mengajar Pendidikan Khas. Saya tahu serba sedikit tentang kesusahan ini. Paling tidak pun, kita mampu memahami. Itu pun cukup.

buat Sai:
Ye betul. Harap kita tak tergolong dalam golongan ini. Amin.

buat meandbaby:
If it can ease at least a little of your special experience, I'm glad. It's hard to find a mother like yourself. Syabas. =)

buat Anak Pendang Sekeluarga:
Check out my blog too.

Itu kedaifan pancaindera untuk menilai kehidupan.

buat Khaleeqa DK:
Kesempurnaan akal itu maknanya amat mendalam.
Baguslah jika kamu sedar. =)

Setuju dengan wann. (Again, no offense yeah reverie)

wait2, how come there are multiple fragment error and grammatical error in this piece?

mengganggu konsentrasiku untuk menghayati mesej yang indah. turn off~
